Barcode Design for Magazine

I finished my barcode which I had to make myself for my magazine, I could improve this by getting rid of the white background but I will also have to get rid of the black background on my front cover if I do so, I may have to make it bigger as you can't see the numbers on the barcode. I will upload a picture of my barcode when I can as it is not letting me put the image on my blog, I used paint to design it.
